Eclipse: Ebonorths Eclipse of the Hart CDX, CGC, TT, FDX, CGN
Eclipse is my first schipperke,
and the reason I love the breed so much, she has such a zest for life, and puts 110% of
what she has into anything I ask her to do and excels in everything, I have not found one
thing yet that she is not good at, including obedience, flyball, agility, herding. While
trialing for her CD title, Eclipse earned a score of 198.5 out of a perfect 200 score, and while trialing in
1999 Eclipse racked up enough points (with very limited trialing) to become #4 obedience
schipperke in Canada One of her best accomplishments.Last year Eclipse was ranked # 14
Schipperke overall for Flyball. Unfortunately Eclipse escaped under the fence of my yard
and was killed by a vehicle. I miss her dearly , she was a one and only dog, and
will NEVER
be replaced. |

Vixen: Skiplyn s
Wildhearted Vixen CD, CGN, AGI
Vixen is the daughter
of Eclipse, she is exactly what I breed for, a very nice example of the breed. She is a
lot calmer than Eclipse was and is a joy to live with. She is currently working on her CDX
title, and has recently achieved her agility novice title .
Weekend of October 1, 2005, Vixen passed her 1st leg towards her
Intermediate Title.
In 2007, Vixen completed her Intermediate Title and is now competing
in the Excellent division. |

Spirit:
Sitaras Spiritwalker CDX
Spirit is my first dog I ever competed with in obedience. Doing so well with her on
our first time competing, including highest scoring puppy and highest scoring shepherd,
after that I was hooked. Spirit is a beautiful dog and is a great example of the breed.
She has a great temperament, loves people and kids. Spirit is permanently retired from
everything. She was diagnosed with a spinal problem ,and is loosing control of all
her legs . She is treated by and animal chiropractor on a monthly basis and has
improved allot. Unfortunalty Spirit went into heart failure and has passed on. |

Jetta: Tedescos Gotta Get A Jetta CDX, CGC
Jetta is a great obedience dog, she catches on to new things very quickly, she
loves to do flyball but is currently not doing it due to a knee injury, she is working on
her utility title and doing some agility for fun. Jetta is a calm and collective dog, who
protects the people she loves and her property, yet allows visitors with no problem and
loves all the other dogs in her family.
In 2007, Jetta is now 12 yrs old and has degenerative myopathy and is
losing control of her hind legs. She is no longer able to
participate in walks with the other dogs and is mostly a house dog. |

Cypress:
Cypress is a rescue I got from the pound
when I was working there, he was extremely aggressive, underweight, with quite the skin
problem, after lots of love and obedience, Cypress has turned into a great dog in which I
bring to work with me. He gets along well with people now and loves all other dogs. He is
definitely my greatest accomplishment in my life, and I will never regret the day I
decided to bring him home.
On
June 20th Cypress has stomach torsion, I rushed him to the vet and we
did the surgery. It went very well and I even woke him up after, he
looked fine. I left the vet clinic and received
a call that he needed a blood transfusion. His blood would not clot ,
apparently he had some clotting disorder we did not know about. We did
the transfusion but he did not get any better, I decided to euthinize
him instead of having him die on me that night. It was a sad day, and
I would defiantly like to thank Cambrian
Animal Hospital for doing everything they could to save him ,and to
his blood donor Indy ( a female
red dobe) who at least gave him a second chance.

Aug 05/01 6 yrs old Reason
goes NUMBER ONE in CANADA for his breed in obedience for 2004
&2005 &2006! |
Reason: Skiplyn's One Good Reason
CGN, TT, FDX, CDX, AGI
Reason is my latest addition to the
family. He is an American Staffordshire Terrier and is one year old in this
picture. We got off to a slow start on his
training , after he broke his shoulder when he
was 7 months old. It took alot of time to
recover, and was on restricted exercise for 6 months
after. Thanks to the vets at Guelph and my consistency in the after care ,
everything healed perfect and I was given the go ahead to start teaching him agility and
flyball. In December 2002 he earned his first obedience title(CD),in one weekend. I was
very proud of him. Since then we I have started him in agility and he is a
natural. I have competed one weekend with him and he earned two legs towards his agility
novice title placing first place both runs. As for flyball , considering he had no ball
drive for the first year of his life , he went right from a beginner class to team level
and is doing excellent! We will be competing in flyball this July. He is currently
working on his CDX title ,and this is also on our list for this year.Reason competed in
flyball at a tournament in July and received
his FDX ( flyball dog
excellent) title that weekend. Unfortunately
he also broke his front foot at the
tourney ,and has been retired since. Maybe one day he will be back doing it ,he sure loves
it!
In May 2004
Reason achieved his novice agility title placing first. Also that
weekend he achieved his first leg in his intermediate title.
Reason has achieved his CDX title at the Sudbury dog shows. AND
GOES NUMBER ONE IN CANADA FOR HIS BREED IN OBEDIENCE FOR 2004&
2005! Weekend
of October 1, 2005, Reason passed his 2nd leg towards his Intermediate
Agility Title. Reason
has completed his intermediate agility title!
In 2007, Reason has now been retired from all sports due to a back leg
injury. |

Cricket:
Ebonorth's Little Miz Cricket CD, AGI, FDX Cricket was a dog that always boarded with me when her owners went away, she
always stayed in the house loose with all of my dogs and got along great. I was very
attached to her even though she wasn't my dog. In Oct/02 she was given to me by her owners
because they could not keep her anymore. It was hard at first due to the fact that my
other schipperke had just died, and I was not looking for a replacement. She has alot of
the same traits as Eclipse
(they have the same mother) and reminds me of her all the
time. Since she came to live here she has lost 2 pounds .She is now working on her
obedience title, and I have just started her in agility, and soon will be starting
in flyball. She loves it here and is getting along well with everyone
else, (sometimes
chasing the cats). She definitely has allot of energy and she has found an owner who loves
to make her use it all.
In May 2004 Cricket achieved
two legs
towards her novice agility title placing first and second. Cricket
competed for her first time in flyball this summer and got her FDX,
she did real good, even the second day
when she ran about 3 pounds heavier because she got into a bag full of
muffins! Weekend
of October 1, 2005, Cricket finished her Novice Agility Title.
And passed 2 legs towards her Intermediate Agility Title. Cricket
has completed her intermediate agility title and is competing in
excellent.
In 2007, Cricket passed one leg in the Excellent division.

Skiplyn's
Rudy's Just Visiting TT, CGN, CD, AGN, FDX Rudy
was a dog I had met before I purchased Reason. He had a incredible temperament, loved
everyone and other dogs, very high energy and handsome. He was exactly what I was looking
for in a dog. So this gave me the push to finally go out and buy Reason. This June, Rudy's
owner called the pet store I work at and asked if my boss knew anyone who wanted Rudy. I
couldn't believe it ! They had just had another baby and found the dog and two babies too
much to handle. I tried to convince my boss to take him , but he couldn't. I went and
picked up Rudy right away and told them I would foster him until I found him a good home.
That was the original plan. Reason had met Rudy before at the pet store and did not like
him , but when I got them both together at home they got along great. The rest is history.
So far Rudy has been the perfect dog , his temperament is exactly what this breed should
be , loves people, fearless, and the fact that he likes other dogs is a great bonus. Rudy
has been working very hard at obedience classes since I got him. He is very smart and a
quick learner. He went to Kawartha Dog Training Camp with me in Sept and Passed his TT
(temperament test) and CGN (canine good neighbor) on the same day. He is
defiantly a
KEEPER!
Rudy is now working in agility
and flyball, he should be ready for flyball competition this summer, and
agility well.... that is still in the works. Rudy
has competed in flyball now and had his FDX title ,he did awesome
for his first time out ! Also in Dec he got his CD , with 4
Highest Scoring Novice Placements! This guy ROCKS! Rudy
broke his foot doing flyball also this winter at a practice , After it
healed I have decided he should retire from flyball too, it's too bad
cuz he loved it more than life and was GREAT at it but he gets
too into it I guess and that is not good for his body .I would rather
have him live longer and continue to have a fun pain free life. Weekend
of October 1, 2005, Rudy achieved his Novice Agility Title, placing
1st place twice! |

Dreamseekers
Red Hot Cinders
Cinders is a rescue I
got in June 2007. She was given up from her third home due to
aggression issues. Very soon after she came to live at my house,
I found out she has urinary incontinence. With the help of my
vet, it is controlled with medication.
Since she came to live
with me, she has lost 10 lbs and is slowly getting over her aggression
issues. She lives with 6 dogs and a cat and is now comfortable
with all of them.
She was very well
trained in obedience when I got her, so we have been tuning her up for
competition. She is now training in Agility and Skijoring.

Barbarians
Karma Of Skiplyn CD, AGN, CGN Karma
is a dog I purchased in result of the breed ban in Ontario. I could
not believe my beloved pets were being banned and I would not be able
to ever own one again! I decided to get another Am Staff so I
could own them as long as possible. Karma is from Barbarian Kennels in
Florida and is a FANTASTIC girl! I had heard great things about
this kennel and the proof is in the pudding . Karma was bought as a yr
old dog, I had never met her nor any other barbarian dogs, but I was pleasantly
surprised with this dogs ROCK solid temperament. Karma's breeder ( Pat
Mc Kinney) was failing in health so was placing Karma. Karma had never
been out of the yard or on a leash or collar even , I knew I would be
the RIGHT home for her . I got her in MARCH /05 and because of
the ban had to enter her in a show before Aug 29th in order to be able
to continue showing her after the ban goes into effect. I went to a
Obedience show in Sault St. Marie on May 23rd ( only entered one
trail because I Knew she was not ready to compete) and after
only having this girl 2 months didn't she get her first
leg for her CD on her first time in! Karma is Really laid back dog ,defiantly
different from my 2 boys. She is continuing training in obedience and
also training in agility and doing great!
Weekend of October 1,
2005, Karma made her debut in Agility, she did Great! She would
have passed, but she fell off the beginning of the dog walk as she was
looking for treats from Mom!
Dec 17/05 weekend
. karma finished off her CD title at the Sudbury District
Kennel Club show .She was entered in 4 trails and passed 3 of them . I
am very proud of this little girl!
Karma completed her
agility novice title in 2 days ! Placing first in all !
She is now
training in flyball and Skijoring.
