Brianna - Trainer
Hello, i’m Brianna! I was first introduced to the dog training world with my Cane Corso Chester when i met Tammy for a private and have been hooked ever since!
Since then, i am a proud owner of two Cane Corso’s and one Eurohound. We enjoy hiking, swimming, frisbee and agility!
Diving into dog training has made me find a passion and i am so grateful to be a part of changing dogs & dog owners lives!
My name is Michelle and I own a beautiful 10 year old Husky/German Shepherd mix named Nakoma. Nakoma and I started training with Skiplyn in 2012 and in 2015 I started as an instructor! In our free time Nakoma and I enjoy some of our favourite things like canoeing, kayaking, hiking and spending time at camp.
Skiplyn has make our life with Nakoma fun. I believe all dogs are like therapy dogs in some way or another and I encourage everyone to let us help you have the dog you deserve.
My name is Shanon and I have been a registered veterinary technician (RVT) for more than 2 decades, and I have been working in the veterinary profession for close to 3 decades. My role as an RVT doesn't allow much chance to work with dog behaviour and training, so being at Skiplyn Kennels is contributing to my overall understanding of dogs. I have been a dog owner to 3 awesome dogs in the past and am currently the owner of the Havoc, the crazy Belgian Malinois. I joined the Skiplyn team in 2015 and you'll often see Havoc and I working in various classes at Skiplyn Kennels - we both love obedience work!
My name is Julia and I have two English Setters. Molly is a 6 year old female and Cinder is a male. I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling and riding my bike with my dogs. Our hope is to begin bird hunting with the dogs in the fall.
I started as a student at Skiplyn Kennels in 2016 when we first adopted Molly. She came with a list of challenges and I quickly developed an understanding of the balanced approach to training. I was successful implementing it with my own dogs. I was excited when Tammy invited me to learn this method further and instruct under her supervision. I often say that Tammy taught me how to really SEE my dogs - who they are and what they need. I've been a trainer at Skiplyn Kennels since 2018.
Hi my name is Kim and I am a dogoholic. I started training with Tammy in 2006. You will often hear me say it took me 6 years to master intermediate obedience, so I know what it's like when you feel like you're going nowhere with your dog! My 3 labs enjoyed doggie school training in obedience and agility. In the spring of 2017 I gladly joined Tammy's team, I love to see all the dogs and handlers improve. I am currently the proud owner of Breeze, Brooke and Caesar (all Labradors) and recently got a new Labrador puppy, Cleo, as well.
Brenda - Group Class Instructor
Hi, my name is Brenda! I’m that person who prefers to be running around in the bush with my dogs, any weather, day or night. I own healthy energetic black dogs; some from rescues and some from ‘oops’ litters. As with anything in life, I believe that if you continuously put in the hard work, you’ll get good results.
I’ve been a student at Skiplyn since 2008, enrolling in various obedience, E-Collar and Agility classes. Tammy has consistently given me the tools to have a great relationship with all my canines over the years. I am elated to be a piece of the instructor team so that I can also teach you how to be a calm strong leader of your pack.
Susa - Group Class Instructor
My name is Susa! I started training with Skiplyn Kennels with my Shepherd/Mastiff mix "Luzie" in 2015. We have completed all levels of Obedience Class and tried ourselves at Agility as well.
I now own 2 more dogs. "Zuzu", a little husky mix with a big attitude and lust for life and "Billy" a Eurohound, who steels hearts and runs like the wind. All 3 dogs and I love dog sledding, skijoring and bikejoring. I am passionate about anything "dog" and am super excited to be part of the Skiplyn team!
