Skiplyn Kennels is remaining OPEN for all private lesson, group classes and day training!
At Skiplyn Kennels Dog Training we strive to provide high quality and effective training to our clients in the City of Greater Sudbury. We are Sudbury's only professional dog training school and offer group training classes year-round at our wonderful training facility located at 26 Garson-Coniston Road in Garson. In addition, we offer private training consultations, board-and-train opportunities, and a myriad of dog sport activities for your canine companions.

Registration week (for anyone who pre-registered) will begin the week of May 31st, 2021.
You MUST be pre-registered to attend (no walk-ins allowed). If you would like to register your dog for our upcoming classes, contact us and we will send you the sign up information!
The following classes will be offered:
Monday 4:15 - 5:15 pm: Beginner Obedience (all dogs, any age, any size)
Monday 5:30 - 6:30 pm: Beginner Obedience (small dogs and puppies only)
Monday 6:45 - 7:45 pm: Beginner Obedience (all dogs, any age, any size)
Monday 8:00 - 9:00 pm: Intermediate Obedience (must have completed Beginner Level)
Tuesday 4:15 - 5:15 pm: Beginner Obedience (small dogs and puppies only)
Tuesday 5:30 - 6:30 pm: Beginner Obedience (all dogs, any age, any size)
Tuesday 6:45 - 7:45 pm: Beginner Obedience (all dogs, any age, any size)
Tuesday 8:00 - 9:00 pm: Intermediate Obedience (must have completed Beginner Level)
*Tuesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Beginner Agility (must have completed Intermediate Obedience)

Note: We are adjusting our normal operation due to COVID restrictions - only one family member will be able to attend class and all participants must wear a face mask.
The classes are $300 (tax included) for the 8-week session. Classes are filling up quickly so to guarantee your spot in a class for this session, send the full, non-refundable payment via e-transfer - contact Tammy for further details.
Dogs must to be up to date on vaccines (including kennel cough) BEFORE classes start and a vaccine certificate signed by your veterinarian should be provided at registration as proof of vaccine status.
If you have a reactive dog (people aggression or dog aggression), a private session with Tammy is REQUIRED prior to joining group classes. The private session is needed to assess the dog for proper class placement and for the safety of our other students. PLEASE NOTE: Failure to disclose reactivity prior to class will give us the right to revoke your participation in group classes (with no refund).
If you are interested in private training (one on one training) prior to or instead of group classes, the cost is $100 per hour for regular issues and $150 per hour for any aggression or reactivity issues.
We are so excited to now offer our Obedience Classes Online! We have Beginner and Advanced levels available to suit the new and returning Skiplyn Kennels students! In our programs you and your dog will learn all the obedience skills you need and more! Work your way through our curriculum at your own pace from the comfort of your own home while receiving feedback from the professionals.
How does it work?
Once you enrol, you will be approved to join our learning group on Facebook where all of the training material is available to you. Start at the beginning and work your way through all of the training units. If you are struggling or you have a question, post a video of the issue or comment in the group and one of our team members will answer within 24 hours! Once you show video that you and your dog can complete all of the exercises that Unit, you will receive a go ahead from our team to move on to the next training unit! Check the “files” tab for a printable progress report so you can keep track of where you are at home! We will also be tracking your progress so don’t worry if you can’t do it yourself. Struggling with a specific exercise? Check the topics tab at the top of the group to see videos of the same exercise shared by other students for motivation! Once you complete all of the Units you are more than welcome to stay in the group, there is no time limit on your stay.
What will you learn?
You will learn all of the Obedience Skills taught it our group classes and more! Our Basic course is where you start with your dog to learn all of the basics, and the Advanced course is the next step where you learned advanced exercises and refine your training! Our courses are based off our proven and successful group obedience class curriculums. There is also tons of extra exercises, information and helpful knowledge that you wouldn't get in the group class setting!
How do I sign up?
Signing up is easy! Simply send the course fee by E-Transfer to Tammy@skiplynkennels.com! In the information box for the E-Transfer please include the following information,

The password for the E-Transfer needs to be set as SKIPLYN. Once you’ve sent the E-Transfer you’re going to be sent a link to join the group! Once you are in the group there is no refunds. If you have been referred by someone, they are eligible to receive a $50 credit for any of our training services! You must mention who you’ve been referred by BEFORE joining the group.
What is the cost?
Cost is $300 tax in for new Skiplyn Students and $200 tax in for students currently taking a Skiplyn Kennels group class.
